Formly is built on a simple principle: your files should never leave your device. All conversion processing happens locally in your browser using WebAssembly, Canvas API, and Web Workers. We do not — and cannot — see, access, collect, or store your files.
Data We Collect
We collect essentially nothing.
Files you convert: Not collected. All processing is client-side. Files never leave your browser.
Personal information: We do not require accounts, names, email addresses, or any personal data to use Formly.
Payment information: Payments are processed by Paddle.com. We never see or store your credit card details. See Paddle's Privacy Policy.
Analytics: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies, does not track individual users, and does not collect personal data. It provides only aggregated page view counts.
Local storage: We store your preferences (theme, last-used settings) and daily conversion count in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device.
How Conversion Works
When you use Formly:
You select or drag a file into the browser window.
The file is loaded into memory using the File API.
Processing occurs in a Web Worker (background thread) using Canvas API and WebAssembly.
The result is offered as a download or saved via the Web Share API.
At no point is the file transmitted to any server.
You can verify this yourself: open your browser's Developer Tools → Network tab, and observe that no file data is sent during conversion.
Cloudflare: Hosting and DNS. Cloudflare serves our static HTML/CSS/JS files and provides anonymous usage analytics. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
No other third parties: We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, ad networks, or any other tracking services.
Cookies
We do not use cookies. Our analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) is cookie-free.
Children's Privacy
Formly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your Rights
Since we collect no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have subscribed to Pro via Paddle, your subscription data is managed by Paddle — contact them directly or reach out to us for assistance.
